Kutubdia Island is that the coastal space of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. It stands within the belly of Bay of Bengal. This Island is the off coast close to Chakaria and Cox’s Bazar of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. The total island is covered by 215.8 sq. kilometers of lands. this is often one of the oldest islands of People's Republic of Bangladesh. thanks to that since 1917 there had been made a station at kutubdia for its protection and also for the safety of the native peoples of the island.

Kutubdia Lighthouses (Akbar monarch, Kutubdia Island) station established 1846. Active; focal plane thirty-nine m (128 ft); 3 white flashes each 10 s. Approx. thirty-five m (115 ft) sq. pyramidic skeletal tower with lamp and gallery. the highest of the tower carries a red and white horizontally slatted daymark. The image at right, revealed by a neighborhood newspaper, is believed to be by the city Port Authority. The beacon light seems to be a twin of the St. Martin’s Island beacon light.
